Revolution Bike park
I visited here for the first time in early summer of 2018 but as it's in wales it was still raining. The trip with my friend was highly anticipated as we were down in wales for 3 days riding and camping. Revs did not disappoint with free-ride recently adjusted it was great. at this point they were some of the biggest jumps i'd ever hit. When my dad managed to dislocate his finger by crashing on his first run the Staff there were really supportive and helpful and offered to make sure that me and my friend were safe for the rest of the day. Although i was riding my own enduro (which had plenty of travel for revs) the rental fleet did look tempting, they rent out Saracen myst pros (ll carbon) for the day for only £75. whilst i did not ride them myself they looked to be well maintained and everybody i saw on them was having fun. I did however rent some protective gear, the 661 body armour (which you can read my review on in gear reviews) a set of bliss knee pads and my friend rented a full face. All of the gear was clean and high quality and meant that i enjoyed myself thoroughly. The Uplift is a fleet of 5 Land rovers with a trailer for bikes on my back, they were efficient and i found myself rarely waiting for them. The land rovers could fit around 7 people but it wasn't exactly roomy in there however it was only a 5 minute drive up the mountain. Over all it was a great day and will be for most levels you do have to have basic riding skills for even the easiest track.

Rogate DH
This small bike park near Liphook just outside of London has 8 trails but is tons of fun. It is about an hour away from London. There is a range of trails here, my favourite being bottle rocket which is a flowy jump trail and the easiest there. The other trails are usually more techy, the trails vary from blue to black and there is two sections, the upper section usually houses fairly techier parts of trails whereas the lower section is full of big fun jump and big berms. The only disadvantages are it can be hard to find parking on busy days and theat you do have to be a b1ke member to go, there are different levels of b1ke memberships but the free one that i have means that i have to pay £5 every time i go. I would recommend Rogate if you have a capable bike and can ride fairly well. Due to Rogate's friendly atmosphere i usually find myself sessioning the jumps at the lower section but Rogate definitely helps you to progress.
Overall it is a fun and friendly bike park that's finitely worth a visit.

Swinley Forest
These are the closest trails that i have to me as i live in London and i love them, not because they have massive jumps or drops or that the they are particularly great trails its just because i have ridden here so much that i have been able to get really confident when riding there and i know swinley really well know. There are 3 trails at swinley, A green, a blue and a red. the green is about a 1km loop and is for very basic beginners and kids, the blue is a 13km loop and starts to introduce jumps and berms it's great fun for beginner riders however quite a b it of it is fairly XC i still ride sections 14 and 15 to warm up as they are the two downhill sections and once you now them you can start going pretty fast. The red trail has some more challenging features and some more tech such as roots and tight climbs. My favourite section isn't actually a listed trail it is at the same place as the red 20 start and is a tight section leading into bigger berms onto a small set of jumps then a decently sized table, There is usually a lot of people here filming and riding and it's a great place to ride a couple of times over. The entirety of the red loop can still be done by fairly basic riders as there are no gap jumps and you can go around the drops however for advanced riders its still great fun, My favourite sections are definitely Red 15, red free ride and red 25, which are all flowy and jumpy. As swinley is made up of this orange dirt filled with stones it still rides fairly well in the wet. If you do go try and find the drop/jump of the side of blue 15 and the drop into jump after red 25. Overall i would recommend swinley to any rider looking to have some pressure free fun out on typical mountain bike trails. Swinley bike Hub also rent marin bikes out, click the picture if interested.
Location: Bracknell England
trails: 3 but free ride sections as well
uplift: nope
pricing: free unless your renting a bike

Aston Hill

Aston is small but very steep bike park about an hour away from London, whilst iv'e only been here twice it s definitely one of my favourite places to ride. The combination of extremely tech roots and tight drop off turns on runs like root canal compared to the massive drops and jumps on surface to air makes one hell of a bike park. The park rides very fast in the dry but is challenging in the wet but whatever the weather it's great fun. With a decent sized car park and day tickets only costing £7 it's fairly easily accessible. however i would not recommend this place to beginners as all the trails require you to have good bike handling skills and a capable bike. Aston has 8 different trails 5 of which are downhill trails varying in difficulty with 2 reds and 3 blacks. there is an XC loop if you cant handle the jumps. There is also a short 4X race course to race your mates on as well as a pump track next to the car park. There are no rentals and no uplift but its not a particularly long push up from the bottom. Most of the tracks are only about 1 minutes 40 seconds in length purely because this lace is so steep. Overall i recommend this to intermediate and advanced riders looking for a really fun day out on the bike at a more than fair price.

Hopton woods
This Trail system was built by the pearce cycles team in Shropshire England and i really like it, I have the opportunity to ride here twice in the last year as i have family up in Shropshire and wales. Hopton is slightly hidden and you have to go through 2 fields of sheep to get there but at trail head there is a small car park which seems to be plenty as i never see too many people there. Once you get there you'll be greeted with three different trail options, the blue warm up is a 1.1 km track with a few corners and rollers, this is great to get your legs moving or if your waiting for others. There is the option to join the blue and the red trails as well. The blue trail which is 4 km and will take about an hour it has slightly bigger berms and some jumps as well as a big climb in the middle. There are two reds, there is the qualifier which is fairly tight and fast in a lot of sections and will take about 40 mins to cover the 1.7 km. There is also a red called pearce XC and is 12.6 km long and will take about 3 hours. i wouldn't recommend this trail unless you are into XC as it is long and fairly boring in a lot of parts, it also feels like your going up a lot for very little descending. The Downhill is really where Hopton shines about halfway around the red loop there are many different black downhill trails regularly used for racing, there is huge, gaps, drops berms and a lot of roots, these sections are bloody great fun and i would highly recommend them usually it is a push up to the top however which is a shame but Pearce do hold uplift days there: here is a link if you are interested https://www.pearceevents.co.uk/
Overall i would recommend Hopton to slightly more experienced riders unless you like XC but this place is great fun and i will hopefully be returning at the end of this month for some Christmas riding.

Llandegla
This trail centre located in llandegla Wales has 4 different trails. A family friendly green, an easy blue, A slightly harder red and A black with different technical features. All of these trails are fun and given that they are in wales don't expect sun and a cool breeze. The trails at llandegla are fairly typical trails but that isn't a bad thing as most of them wind through trees but every now and again there will be a set of big jumps or drops. There is also a lot of North-Shore features at llandegla. As well as the trails there s a skills arena and a free ride track. The skills arena has small jumps, bigger jumps, Berms and a set of 3 drops. This is where i did my first set of big drops on a mountain bike and although they weren't massive or particularly challenging they definitely built a lot of confidence. In the skills park there is also different north shore features including a very steep turn. The free ride track is also great fun, you start on a small mound and have to pedal like hell to clear the first jump there are then 3 more jumps after it until you reach a corner. Around this corner you have the option t either take a skinny boardwalk which i fell off or continue along more jumps, Both take you Towards a drop followed by 2 big tables right before the cafe. Interestingly enough my fondest memory of llandegla was the beans on toast after because they were just so good after a cold ride and i would definitely recommend them. There is also a fairly large car park and a place to wash your bike. there is also a rental fleet available if needed.

Cannock chase MTB
located near the welsh border above Birmingham this centre consists of 2 red trails with some smaller blue trails that don't have a name. The 2 trails are follow the dog and monkey trail and are both approximately 7 mile loops. I rode most of monkey trail and the last half of follow the dog and to be fairly honest it didn't suit me, i ussualy lean further towards Enduro and downhill riding so pushing a 170mm full sus that weighs 14kg wasn't exactly the easiest task. I also noticed that a lot of the tracks along monkey and dog almost seemed to slow you down in unnecessary ways. I found myself being annoyed at the fact that the downhill felt like you were riding down what was meant to be a switchback climb, with no jumps and minimal drops these two trails are most definitely meant for cross-country riders or family's. It didn't suit me as i found myself sweating on the ascents with very little rewards on the descent. However there was a nice open flowy section at the end of Monkey trail which you can see on the picture to the left (or above if you are on mobile). This was good fun and flowed well although there were some loose corners it gives nice veiws and is by far the best section from best trails and i would recommend it. All the other sections have some 'black' options, the reason this is in quotation marks is that they are all stupid easy and are not deserving of a black grading, the only two things that caught me out was a weirdly placed rock directly after a north-shore feature so that took me 2 tries to clean and a slab that you have to climb up which i didn't quite fancy engraving with my chain ring.
This review isn't all negative however as if you are into XC i imagine it it challenging on the physical front of things, This would also be a good place for families and i did see a number of kids out on the trails this also means that it is a good place for beginners but just be careful not to put them off as this place is very pedally. 1 great thing about this place is it is right next to stile cop DH which is great fun (read my review on stile cop below)
Things to note: These trails were built long before 800mm handlebars and therefore there are some trees that are a fairly tight squeeze through the tress and it can be annoying but at least it adds a bit of extra challenge.

Stile Cop DH
This small push up bike park in the north of England is a blast. located in rugeley this set of downhill trails offer a wide variety of features and fun, from large drops and jumps to technical roots and tight corners any intermediate to advanced rider will enjoy it here. Despite only having 65 metres of hill to work with there are still 12 trails running at Stile Cop. The easiest of these being 2 red runs there are also 5 black runs and 5 double orange runs. Although i did not have much time at Stile Cop i really enjoyed it and found the trails challenging and fun at the same time. One thing i did find when riding there was when you first hit a trail be very careful as if not you may end up hitting the floor, there are many drops and gaps that should most definitely be looked at or walked on the first time. Although the push up is not too long it does drain you so i would recommend bringing water then maybe just hiding your bag in a bush at the top of the hill.
I do not know too much about this place as i have only visited once but i will definitely return.
This place is for more experienced and confident riders with capable bikes as the trails are not easy.
